You Smell Good: Iconic Perfumes By Iconic Women
This year the Brooklyn Museum in New York opened an exhibition dedicated to the personal life of the iconic artist, Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving.
Among the time-capsule items discovered in hers and Diego Rivera’s La Casa Azul in Mexico City, there were personal objects, treasures and… perfume bottles. The expansive exhibition is the first time some of these until-then-hidden details have ever been shown to the world, giving the audience a further insight into the artist’s personal taste and style.
The show inspired us to compile a list of the perfumes wore by the most iconic women out there - and not just painters, but also, actresses, writers and so on.
