Epitome No.4

Talking about the latest finds in the world of design, art and literature, this week’s Epitome focuses on some interesting written pieces on the web ft. The New Yorker, Semaine and Inattendu.

 1. Sad news this week as the pioneer that was Agnès Varda passed away. After appearing on the latest cover of The Gentlewoman, as if it was her last goodbye to her women followers. The New Yorker published an amazing piece on her.

2. This piece on the New York Times Style Magazine explains how British interior designer Beata Heuman stays organised. A true gem for anyone in a Marie Kondo kind of mood.

3. We came across Rebekka Seale’s beautiful oil paintings via the design blog Inattendu and fell in love. Rebecca is based in Nashville and makes paintings and textile pieces that explore themes of space, ritual, objecthood, and the integration of human senses.

4. An online platform we love, Semaine, has interviewed cult fashion designer Maryam Nassir Zadeh - we kind of want everything she makes and now also everything she loves.
